Matthew Kiet Sullivan is an intuitive, abstract painter who is proudly Vietnamese-American, and resides in Anaheim, California.
Matthew was born with Cerebral Palsy, but that has not stopped him from pursuing his creative dreams. Through the encouragement of his teacher and aide, Matthew discovered that he was passionate with water colors and acrylic paints at a very young age.
His colorful paintings reflect his inner thoughts and feelings as well as his personal experiences. His distinctive style embodies his hopes, dreams, peace, and emotions, and the vibrant spirit and colorful atmosphere of the places he visits.
His expressive work and talent for color has gained him a wide range of recognition within the community. At the age of 16, Matthew was recognized by Orange County Performing Arts Center as the 2018 Artist of The Year award Hand Drawing and Painting. Since then he has received a scholarship from MeridanLink and recognitions from government offices and local exhibitions.
Matthew hopes by pursuing his artistic endeavors and continuing to advocate for the Cerebral Palsy community, he will inspire and support other adults with disabilities to go after their creative dreams.
